Trial date set for Heysham woman accused of caravan park murder

A Heysham woman has appeared in court charged with murder.

Terri Marie Palmer, of Warton Avenue, appeared at Lancaster Magistrates Court on Monday morning

Palmer, 22, was remanded in custody charged with the murder of Damon Searson who died after being stabbed in the chest.

No plea was entered during the brief preliminary hearing.

Her trial will take place at Preston Crown Court on August 19.

There were shouts of “I love you Terri” from the public gallery as Palmer appeared in the dock.

Police were called by the ambulance service to a caravan on Stud Farm Park, Oxcliffe Road, Morecambe at around 12.15am on Friday following reports a man had been stabbed.

Mr Searson, 23, was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary with a wound to his chest but died a short time later.
