Delays have been reported on the southbound M6 this morning following an accident.

The accident is reported to have happened during Friday's rush hour at junction 34 for Lancaster and 32.

Traffic was held while traffic officers for Highways England attended the incident.

The accident is believed to have been caused by a blown out tyre.

Police say that nobody was injured in the incident.

The accident was cleared by 9.30am.
