The Morecambe Bay Cake-Off regional final took place at the Arndale Centre on Saturday (November 7).
The cake-off featured cakes made by representatives of Overton and District Womens Institute (WI), Lancaster Sainsburys, the Arndale and Galloway’s. Funds were also raised for the Morecambe based sight-loss charity Galloway’s.
Sue Byers, manager of the Arndale Centre, took the crown for her double chocolate and raspberry surprise. Other cakes which were highly commended were Lynda’s lemon drizzle and Sylvia Moorcroft’s chocolate pop surprise. Galloway’s Society for the Blind is a local charity providing services to enable people living with sight loss to live a more independent life.
