It’s time to get your dancing shoes on as a series of soul shows come to town.
Five sessions of Motown Magic will be on the cards across the resort which will showcase 26 hours of soul music from arguably the record label which changed the world.
Starting Friday night (August 14) Northern Soul floorshakers will take over The Hothouse, Devonshire Road at 8pm, tickets are £5.
The fun continues on Saturday at the Parisian Bar 12pm-5pm and then at the Ranch House, with Motown Philly from 8pm, free entry.
Motown Magic’s free finale will take place on Sunday with DJs Harry Cambridge as Luther Vandross, Blue Juice and Dr Truth at The Platform, 12pm-5pm.
Kool Grooves, DJ Ian Simpson and DJ Steve Middlesbrough will showcase the after party at the Globe Arena from 5pm-midnight, tickets are £5.
This year music promoter and DJ Steve Middlesbrough hopes to keep all the soul family happy by using more venues and more diverse types of music.
Mr Middlesbrough said: “We are playing not just Motown but Philadelphia, Jazz Funk, Rare Groove as well as commercial soul to keep the dance floors full.
