Three years in a row for Shrimps hospitality team

Morecambe FC have picked up the gong for Best Matchday Hospitality Experience in League 2 for the third year in a row.

The Shrimps were honoured at the Football Hospitality Awards at Reading FC’s Madjeski Stadium last Thursday, May 23.

In an excellent evening for the club, the Globe Arena’s chef team competed against Premier League clubs Newcastle United, Arsenal, West Brom and Everton to receive a merit for the Chef Team of the Year.

The famous Shrimps pies were also recognized with a bronze in The Fans Choice Football Pie League Award.

Shrimps chairman Peter McGuigan said: “This is a magnificent achievement.

“To win the title of Best Matchday Hospitality Experience in League 2 for three years on the run is staggering!

“It would be fantastic to see the people of Morecambe respond by coming along to the Globe Arena and giving our award-winning hospitality a try.”

Each club taking part in the Matchday Hospitality Experience Award was independently visited by a professional catering judge from Salon Culinaire. and marked on criteria including service efficiency, food quality and venue standards.
