The school started a partnership with the charity last year and the first challenge involved a team of 15 staff, parents and friends of the school who completed a 100 mile cycle challenge in the local area.

Keen to follow the cycling team’s example, the 145 pupils of Caton St Paul`s were not left on the sidelines in the ‘100 miles for 100’s of smiles’ challenge. The whole school took part in a challenge to complete a 100 mile relay on the school field. involving every child from two-years old to 11-years-old.

Head teacher Karen Price said: “Our partnership with Unique Kidz and Co is about sharing ideas and themes and best practice in both our after school clubs. We believe it’s very important that the children at St Paul’s develop an understanding of life for children outside of their own school to broaden their horizons and build their understanding of differences.

“We truly admire the work the charity does and want to support it any way we can.”
