Teenager rescued from Morecambe bay

A teenager was rescued from Morecambe bay after walking into the water.

Morecambe coastguard were called to assist other emergency services and upon arrival she was in police custody being escorted off the rocks by Sandylands.

The coastguard team waited until she was safely ashore.

North West Ambulance were called to the bay at 9.34pm on Monday March 23.

They arrived shortly after 9.35pm and took the teenager to Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
