Tea for three at homeless shelter

Lancaster and Morecambe Lions Club president Ivan Huff and treasurer, Mike Kaliszczak, dropped on Lancaster and District Homeless Action Service centre in Edward Street, Lancaster for a cup of tea and to hand over a cheque for £250 to LDHAS centre manager, Gary Welsh (pictured above). The cheque was money raised by Lancaster and Morecambe Lions Club at their December collection in ASDA and was in addition to foodstuffs collected for LDHAS at the same time.Lions club president, Ivan, said: “Our club has close links with LDHAS and we help whenever we can throughout the year. We believe that apart from helping those less fortunate than ourselves, supporting LDHAS and its work is also of real benefit to our community. We rely heavily on donations and support from organisations such as Lions and from individuals with all help being more than welcome.”
