Party at the Platform like it’s 1949 with one of Europe’s top western swing quintets.

The Lancashire-based Swing Commanders have travelled the world with their brand of classic and western swing, entertaining listeners and dancers alike.

Expect classic songs from the vibrant and versatile group from the likes of Glenn Miller, Tennessee Ernie Ford and Cab Calloway wonderfully arranged and energetically performed.

Come along and experience their lively harmonies, their hot solos and nice dresses.

Every member of the Swing Commanders sings and plays at least one instrument, sometimes three.

The Swing Commanders have appeared, often headlining, at most of the UK’s top Vintage and Country Music festivals.

They are loved by fans of jazz, country, swing and blues, and find it easy to fill dancehalls with lindy hoppers, modern jivers, line, partner and social dancers.

They play all over the UK, regularly tour Europe and when they can, cross the pond to visit the US.

The Swing Commanders will be at the Morecambe venue with their western 40s swing classics on Friday April 10 from 8pm.

Tickets cost £13 adults and £12 concessions and are available from the Visitor Information Centres at the Platform, Morecambe and the Storey in Lancaster.

You can buy tickets over the phone on 01524 582803 and at www.lancaster.gov.uk/platform-tickets.
