'Suspicious' fire in Lancaster under investigation

Firefighters dealt with a 'suspicious' fire in Lancaster.

At 8pm last night (Friday), two fire engines from Lancaster and Morecambe attended a derelict building fire on Slyne Road.

Firefighters used one hose reel, a triple extension ladder and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

They were at the scene for approximately 30 minutes.

The fire was thought to be of suspicious origin.
