Ten teams of colleagues from Sainsbury’s supermarkets across the region will be taking part in the Big Ride to raise money for leukaemia and lymphoma research.

Each team will be covering over 230 miles over three and a half days.

They will visit 120 different Sainsbury’s Stores along the way, picking up riders and dropping them off.

Numerous colleagues are currently in training for the ‘Big Ride’, which starts on September 5. Morecambe Sainsbury’s store manager, Steve Spencer, will be cycling the whole route.

On Saturday, September 7, Steve will be joined by Morecambe colleagues who have volunteered to participate in a ‘store to store’ cycle from Lancaster to Morecambe to support Morecambe Sainsbury’s current Local Charity Partner, Unique Kidz & Co.
