Sunday and Monday are looking cooler with top temperatures of 13 degrees centigrade.

The hot temperatures are a stark contrast to the weather in May in the area, which was a complete washout, with double the average rainfall, persistent wind and some of the coldest temperatures on record.

The Met Office forecasts a lot of dry and fine weather throughout the country during Monday and Tuesday, with many parts seeing plenty of good sunny spells and light winds, although it will feel cooler than of late.

The North and East of the UK will be cloudier with the odd shower possible here.

Generally cloudier, breezier weather will arrive in the northwest from mid-week, with a weak band of rain slowly spreading southwards Thursday.

The predominantly dry, fine conditions will return to much of the UK Friday and into the weekend.

These conditions are likely to remain across the South and West for the start of next week, however it will be a cloudier, more unsettled picture in the Northwest.
