The organisation received £67,104 over three years and the programme has helped make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Lancaster and Morecambe.

The grant has been made possible thanks to the generosity of the public.

The Body Mind Spirit Programme is a fully funded, Children in Need project, open to local young people (boys and girls) between the ages of 10 and 18 years-old, created by the YMCA, to engage young people in progressive activities and educational development. The programme, which is one year in, is providing a unique opportunity for participants to achieve significant personal development.

Colin Bell, project coordinator said: “This grant will go on to change the lives of so many young people and give them the life skills and long-term support they need.”
