JIM Bowen may have officially pulled out of his Lancaster comedy comeback due to ill-health but one of his Comedians cohorts says he might yet be persuaded to make a cameo on stage.
Stan Boardman hopes the former Bullseye star, who will be a guest of honour when a night of laughter comes to the Grand Theatre this Saturday (May 21), will join him to at least take a bow in front of the audience.
“It was on Jim’s recommendation that we’re coming to Lancaster so I might drag him up,” says Stan.
“We might even have a game of darts!”
Ex-Bullseye host Bowen was originally due to perform at the show - called A Night of Laughter: One Night Only - to mark the 40th birthday of TV’s The Comedians where he and Boardman cut their teeth in the 70s.
