‘Stabbing’ drama on street

POLICE were called to reports of a stabbing and robbery on a road in Morecambe.

But after questioning the alleged victim at the scene at the junction of Fairfield Road and Norton Avenue officers established that his wounds were self inflicted.

The man, who was in his forties, had cuts to an arm and his abdomen. He was advised to seek help and taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary for treatment.
