A WOMAN whose daughter was born with a rare chromosome disorder is doing a 10-mile sponsored walk with work colleagues to raise money for charity.
Clare Scroggy, from Hampsfell Drive, in Morecambe, is raising money for Cri du chat, the name of the syndrome her daughter Paige Scorey, 22 months, suffers from.
Clare said: “My daughter Paige was diagnosed with CDC when she was just three weeks old.
“CDC affects one in 50,000 children, and affects their ability to learn with severe learning difficulties, including the ability to walk and talk.
“Because of this, me and my colleagues at Axa Insurance, Candy, Julie, Paula, Fiona, Annette and Andy, decided to raise some money for the charity that helps people research the disorder.”
