Speeding concerns in Lancaster

PSCO’s from Lancaster Police responded to several complaints at the weekend over excessive speeding in the Vale area of the city.

More than 50 drivers were recorded going over the 20mph limit on Barley Cop Lane.

Lancaster Police said 52 vehicles were travelling 25mph or above, with the highest recorded at 35mph.

Drivers will be counted by the team in due course.

The investigation into this prompted many of you to discuss other speeding hot spots in the city, including Willow Lane and Newlands Road.
