Soldier defies odds to be a dad again
Stuart Robinson, 33, was told by doctors that he could never be a father again – but now delighted wife Amy is expecting a little girl in September.
Stuart said: “My son George and daughters Chloe and Honey are excited about the new arrival.”

Hide AdDue to damage to his pelvis sustained in the explosion, doctors warned Stuart he was unlikely to father another child.
He said: “To be told I could never have another child with Amy was truly my lowest moment.
The doctors didn’t believe I would survive the accident. I proved them wrong then and I was determined to prove them wrong again.
“I told Amy I wanted to try for a baby, so we did. I couldn’t believe it when she fell pregnant gnant after the first try.”

Hide AdStuart, a corporal in the RAF, was blown up on patrol with his regiment unit in Afghanistan on February 19, 2013.
He was in the front seat of the Jackal armoured vehicle and took the full force of the blast when the improvised explosive device went off.
His injuries included 18 spinal fractures, a shattered pelvis, burst bladder and fractures to an arm, his jaw, shoulder blade and multiple ribs.
His lower leftleg had gone and other leg was so badly dsmaged it also later had to be amputated.

Hide AdAfter two months in hospital, Stuart began physiotherapy at RAF Cosford, Shropshire, and soon learned to walk again with prosthetic legs.
He became a proficient wheelchair rugby player and competed in the Invictus Games in September 2014.
Stuart’s wife Amy said: “In December last year, I had a contraceptive implant removed from my arm and found out I was pregnant soon after. We’re both so exc ited to welcome our new baby into the world.”
Stuart said: “I’m delighted to be having another baby with Amy. I can’t believe we conceived so quicklyafter the the doctors said we couldn’t.”
