Paul Akister was guest of honour at a private homecoming party at The Study Room bar in the city centre filmed for X Factor spin-off show The Xtra Factor.

The singing sensation was also given a chocolate fudge cake as a gift by local firm Emma’s Tea Parties Ltd.

Earlier, the 25-year-old allowed our cameras into his home in Bowerham for an exclusive photo shoot.
