Scouting For Girls released their Greatest Hits last summer, giving the band their fourth Top 10 album.

Over the course of the last 10 years the band have sold over two million records, and racked up four Brit Award nominations, an Ivor Novello nomination and four Top 10 singles.

In recent months Scouting for Girls have unveiled their new album ‘Still Thinking About You’, which was released on October 16.

SFG have also announced details of their new single, ‘Christmas In The Air (Tonight)’.

Hailing from West London, Roy, Pete and Greg have been friends since the age of five, and have developed into one of the best live acts around.

Principle songwriter Roy has also had recent cuts for acts such as One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, Union J and Seafret, and is quickly becoming a key songwriter outside of Scouting For Girls.

When asked about the band’s appearance at Morecambe Carnival next year Roy Stride said: “We loved performing at The Bay when we popped into their studios, and couldn’t resist saying yes when they asked us to play Morecambe Carnival for them.”

Chairman of Morecambe Carnival’s organising committee, David Brayshaw, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Scouting For Girls will be appearing at Morecambe Carnival. To have such a huge name appear at Morecambe Carnival is a massive coup and testament to the success of the event.”

Morecambe Carnival made a triumphant return last year after an absence of more than 15 years.

It’s revival saw more than 37,000 people attend with 18,494 beds filled across the hotels and up to a 200 per cent shop sales uplift and a £1.7 million boost to the local economy.

The Carnival Committee are keen to hear from any local business leaders who would like to become part of and back MC16 – for all enquiries or to arrange a meeting please email: or
