More than £2m will be spent on repairs and improvements to roads, paths and bridges across the Lancaster district as part of a county wide maintenance programme.
Cash totalling £70,000 has also been set aside for initial design work on a repair scheme for Greyhound Bridge.
Lancashire County Council said the actual maintenance is “at least two years” off being carried out however, and is dependent on a funding bid to government.
The county council received £20.4m from the Department for Transport (DfT) to develop a programme of repairs for 2016/17. Many roads in Lancaster, Morecambe, Silverdale, Warton, Over Kellet, and Conder Green have been earmarked for major works.
The biggest single spend in the district - £401,300 - will be on surface dressing to Lancaster Road between Conder Green and the boundary with Wyre Borough.
Further cash – a total of £325,344 – will be spent on improvements to the surface of Lancaster Road between Ashton Road in the city and Saltcotes Road in Lytham-st-Annes.
In Morecambe, resurfacing work will take place in Lancaster Road between Thornton Road and Broadway at a cost of £231,945, while the county council has allocated £130,362 for new conservation flags in Queen Street between Marine Road Central and Central Drive.
There will also be major resurfacing works to Aldcliffe Road between Aldcliffe Hall Lane and the A6, a total spend of £131,356. Surface work will take place between Sand Lane in Warton and Slackwood Lane in Silverdale (£113,121), and £103,113 will be spent on overlay in Helks Brow near Lowgill.
Other works include:
Surface dressing in Kirkby Lonsdale Road through the centre of Over Kellet (£10,796)
Surface dressing in Lodge Lane from Melling Moor to Bentham Road (£59,554)
Overlay work to Moor Lane, between Hornby Road and Wennington Road (£46,917)
Surface dressing in Lancaster Road, Bolton-le-Sands between Longfield Drive and Detron Gate Farm (53,039)
Surface dressing in Lancaster New Road near Snapewood Lane (£162,078)
As well as this, work to reconstruct the whole of the footway in South Road, Morecambe will cost £132,852.
There is no planned start or completion date as yet for each individual project.
