The latest clown incident happened near the Holy Trinity Church, Bolton-le-Sands.

The culprit ran towards the girls sounding a horn near the Holy Trinity Church in Bolton-le-Sands and then ran off.

At least one of the girls, who is 13, was said to be traumatised by the incident.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said the incident was reported to them at 6.20pm on Wednesday.

Anyone who has any information can contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1095 of October 26.

The incident is the latest in a nationwide craze of people dressing up as ‘scary clowns’ to frighten passers by.

Earlier this month Bolton-le-Sands Primary School warned parents to keep an eye on their kids coming to and from school after a 10-year-old boy was chased by somebody wearing a creepy clown outfit.
