Roadworks on Northgate prompt diversion

Motorists are being advised of a temporary diversion on Northgate on White Lund.

Workers are currently at the junction of Northgate and Ovangle Road near Asda and the road is coned off.

Traffic is being diverted two ways past Axa Insurance whilst the work is undertaken.

On Monday, United Utilities had one section of the road closed off for repair works.

It is unclear when the diversion will be lifted.
