Revealed: Lancaster and Morecambe general election candidates

The official candidates for Lancaster and Morecambe in this year’s general election have been confirmed.

The election count for the Lancaster and Fleetwood and Morecambe and Lunesdale constituencies will be held at Salt Ayre sports centre on May 7.

The results are expected to be declared at around 6am on Friday May 8.

The candidates for Lancaster and Fleetwood are:

Matthew Atkins (UK Independence Party)

Chris Coates (Green Party)

Harold Elletson (Northern Party)

Robin Long (Liberal Democrat)

Eric Ollerenshaw (Conservative Party)

Cat Smith (Labour Party)

The candidates for Morecambe and Lunesdale are:

Phil Chandler (Green Party)

Michael Dawson (Northern Party)

Amina Lone (Labour Party)

David Morris (Conservative Party)

Steven Ogden (UK Independence Party)

Matthew Severn (Liberal Democrat)

The candidates for the Lancaster City Council and Parish Council elections are due to be announced at 5pm today, Friday April 10.
