Lancashire Wildlife Trust’s conservation work has led to a resurgence in reindeer

lichen on peat bogs in Heysham, Manchester and Garstang.

Reindeer lichen is an important food for reindeer – or caribou – in areas of Arctic tundra in Scandinavia and Canada.
