A MAN was hit over the head with a bottle in an unprovoked attack.
The 31-year-old victim, from Lancaster needed three staples for a cut to his head after the attack on Monday, October 3, at 10pm.
Police said the man was at the entrance to the underpass which runs between Sainsbury’s and the skate park off Parliament Street, when he was approached from behind and hit with a bottle.
The offender ran off from the scene and unfortunately the man didn’t see who attacked him.
PC Sally Ward said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked attack and I would urge anybody who was in the area at the time who could help us with our investigation to come forward.”
