Best in show winner was Toby, with owner Johnny Bean from Lancaster.

The Dog Show was judged by Wayne Hemingway, organiser of Vintage by the Sea and Peter Archer from Pawsitive Training.

Wayne Hemingway said: “The pooch parade was one of the highlights of Vintage by the Sea. It’s great to see folk going the extra mile to put smiles on people’s faces and when the end result is pictures of their exploits being beamed around social media and benefitting the town as well as benefitting a worthwhile charity. Big thanks to all the participants (humans and dogs) and to CancerCare for their superb marshalling and promotion of the vintage pooch parade and Vintage by the Sea.”

CancerCare Fundraising Team Leader Jane Staniford said: “It was an honour for CancerCare to have been part of the vintage festival programme this year and it’s been an absolutely fabulous weekend. Everyone really got into the vintage spirit and made a huge effort dressing themselves up and their pooches.

“I’d like to thank everyone who supported us, especially Wayne and the vintage team.”
