Police advice for football fans

POLICE are warning football fans to beware following a car break-in during Saturday’s match at the Globe Arena.

A car parked near Aldingham Court was broken into between 2.30pm and 3pm on July 16 and a satnav was stolen.

A van also had it’s window broken at the same time.

Inspector Dave Vickers from Morecambe police said: “We would ask people attending matches to park on the designated car park where there is more security and not to leave any valuables inside that can be stolen.”

*Police have arrested a man in connection with the vehicle crime and he is currently being questioned at Morecambe police station.
