Jacky was a northern girl at heart and decided to come back to her roots while attending university (again) in Lancaster.

This is where she met Ned her husband of 18 years.

Her daughter Sarah Burns said: "My mum was known for many of her life’s achievements including helping to organise Christian camps in Porthpean, her camping and kayaking instructor adventures, traveling the country working as a prisoners education officer and more commonly known locally for her Pebbleart venture in Morecambe.

"Originally Pebbleart was something for her to enjoy with her grandchildren, Leo, Calvin and Olivia, but as always with my Mum she had a vision, that other people might find these little painted pebbles and paint their own!

"This is where the Facebook page was born and the rest is history. This small act of spreading a little happiness with a painted rock will be her legacy for years to come.

"My mum was fun, she didn’t take life too seriously, was never one to shout and would rather be causing mischief than tidying the house!

"She had a dry sense of humour and would often have you laughing till you cried. My mum was the heart of our family, she would be there day or night if you needed a chat or a cuddle or just to come home.

"The sudden passing of our mum has left an irreplaceable hole in our lives.

"We would like to thank all the staff at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary who took such good care of her, Everyone involved worked tirelessly and we will be forever grateful.
