Morecambe MP says Lancaster's Covid tiering could be treated separately from rest of county 'in next two weeks'
Mr Morris said he and other north west MPs have spoken to minister Ed Argar and Public Health England about the situation.
The government announcement on Thursday that the whole of Lancashire would be put into tier 3 from December 2 left many people frustrated and angry, calling the decision unfair and biased.

Mr Morris said: "I raised the lower cases in Lancaster from the rest of Lancashire and while at the moment other factors mean we need to be in tier 3, I have a commitment that if the epidemiology improves in the next two weeks in our area alone it will be looked at separately to the rest of Lancashire."
Mr Morris said that the five indicators used are the case rate in all age groups; in particular, cases among the over 60s; the rate at which cases are rising or falling; the positivity rate; and the pressures on the local NHS.
