Lancaster Christmas outdoor theatre show promises hands-on fun for children

An outdoor theatre company will be bringing festive fun for all the family to a Lancaster park next month.

Scenic Outdoor Theatre will present A Christmas Checklist – an immersive interactive experience aimed at families with young children.

The production, in Williamson Park, will follow Father Christmas who is busy getting ready for the big night. Mrs Claus, trusty Nutcracker and the bright-white fairy are left with Santa’s to-do list to check off the final few jobs.

Are the reindeer ready to fly? Are the cookies decorated and ready to eat? Will the snow flake in time to create a white Christmas?

Young audience members will be able to help Mrs Claus prepare the cookies for Christmas Eve, send for the snow with the Snow Fairy and mix the final ingredients for the reindeer food.

Each child will decorate a Christmas cookie and a bag of reindeer food to take home.
