Heysham councillor is to be next Lancaster mayor
Heysham South councillor Mike Greenall is to be the next mayor of Lancaster.
The full council, at an online meeting last Wednesday, appointed Coun Greenall as Mayor-Elect and he will succeed the present mayor, Coun Malcolm Thomas, in May.
He has been a Morecambe Bay Independent councillor for 18 years, although he was defeated in the elections in 2015 when was made an honorary alderman.
Coun Greenall returned to the council in 2019.
