Caravan owner appeals for help with investigation after three caravans worth £10k are destroyed by fire

A man whose caravans valued at £10,000 were destroyed by fire has appealed for help in the investigation.

Fire crews from Carnforth and Hornby were called to Ravens Close in Wennington, where they found two touring caravans and one static caravan alight.

No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.

David Partington, who owns the land and the caravans, said the total value of the caravans was around £10,000.

"There were solar panels on the static which were worth quite a bit," he said.

He discovered they'd been burned down just after 11am on Sunday June 14.

"It was a shock just to roll up and see that," he said. "For all anyone knew, there might have been somebody isolating inside."
