A pensioner died following a three-vehicle collision in Kirkby Lonsdale.
Marion Jones, 73, from Barrow-in Furness, died at the scene of the accident on the A65 near Spital Farm shortly before 1.30pm on Saturday.
A woman driving an Audi suffered serious injuries and was transferred by air ambulance to the Royal Preston Hospital.
The passenger in Ms Jones’ Volkswagen Golf suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
The male driver of the third vehicle, also a golf, was unharmed.
The road was closed for around five hours.
