The singer, who took part in the ITV talent show in 2013 and 2014 and got through to the live finals last year, sang and greeted visitors to the new Abode show home and marketing suite on New Quay Road.

Paul, from Lancaster, also took a look around Abode’s new modern housing development on the banks of the River Lune.

“These houses are great and in a lovely part of Lancaster,” he said.

“I could definitely see myself living here.”

Claire Jarvis, Redrow sales director (Lancashire), said: “It was fantastic to have Paul at the event, he’s incredibly popular and is born and bred Lancaster so he was the perfect choice.

“The Abode homes are ideal for young professionals like Paul but also cater for active downsizers who live a very sociable lifestyle.”

Paul has been working in the studio over the past few months and hopes to release a debut single soon.

He came ninth on The X Factor in 2014, when he was mentored by ex-Spice Girl Mel B.
