Paul Akister joins X Factor tour

The star will appear on the Manchester dates of the upcoming tour of some of the country’s biggest indoor arenas.

Paul and other contestants from this year’s ITV talent contest will perform at the Phones 4U Arena on Friday, February 20 (evening show) and Saturday, February 21 (afternoon show).

Fans campaigned for the 25-year-old to be part of the tour after he was controversially voted off The X Factor in November.

By finishing ninth, the soul man narrowly missed out on an automatic spot on the month-long tour, which also visits Wembley Arena, the Hydro Arena in Glasgow and the Liverpool Echo Arena and other major UK cities.

X Factor winner Ben Haenow and runner-up Fleur East will also perform.
