The message comes as NHS Lancashire North Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) launch an information leaflet to educate patients positively about minor illnesses and appropriate use of antibiotics. The leaflet which will be given to patients who visit their GP surgery with common illnesses such as coughs, colds, sore throats, and ear and other infections, sets out advice for patients to follow to ease symptoms and who to contact if the illness persists.
