One lane of Bay Gateway closed due to diesel spillage
One lane of the Bay Gateway southbound has been closed since Sunday morning after a lorry overturned, spilling diesel on the carriageway.
The spillage, which occured after the HGV overturned in the early hours of Sunday, July 22, damaged the road surface, resulting in the road closure.
A spokesman for Lancashire County Council said: “This damaged the surface, and we are planning to carry out repairs starting tomorrow with removing the current surface, and resurfacing on Monday, July 27.
“The roundabout will stay open, and we hope to have everything open again on Monday evening, weather permitting.”
