OFF LICENCES have passed a recent underage drinking test purchase operation by refusing sales to children.

Morecambe’s West End and Carnforth have been under the spotlight as part of a project being carried out by Lancashire Trading Standards and Lancashire Police to clamp down on those selling or giving alcohol to children.

The project has seen a range of activity cracking down on alcohol misuse, including targeted police patrols in hotspot areas and Trading Standards officers speaking to local retailers to offer advice on the sale of alcohol.
