A new manager has been appointed at the Lancaster House Hotel.
English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues has asked Andy Lemm to take the reins at the four star hotel near the university.
Mr Lemm has been with the group for 20 years, having already worked in managerial roles across South Lakes and North Lancashire at four of the company’s hotels, most recently at The Wild Boar Inn Grill & Smokehouse in Windermere.
He takes over from Tim Bell who is relocating with his family to the Auvergne region of central France to start a new life running their own small hotel, in the heart of the picturesque Livradois Forez national park.
This follows on from the news that a new general manager is taking over Morecambe’s art deco hotel, The Midland. Mark Needham replaces Matt Stanaway at the iconic Grade II listed hotel, having spent five highly successful years at Waterhead.
The moves are part of a series of staff transfers at the company.
