Cheryl and Andrew McPherson and their daughter Amy have been involved in the cosmetic industry for a number of years and run another shop in Windermere as well as Lancaster.

Cheryl creates the handmade soaps and candles which can take up to eight weeks to make.

Amy is working in the Lancaster store part time with her dad Andrew.

The 18-year-old is confident the creativity of Agnes and Cat will help attract a different demographic to possible competitor Lush.

Amy said: “Lush are focused on bath bombs whereas we target an older demographic.

“It has been a great response so far, everyone in Lancaster is so supportive and we can’t wait to launch our new ranges which include goats milk soap.”
