Jolly Joe Purdy, 23, got hooked on the slapstick comedies as a child and for the last four years has made it his aim to see as many shows as he can. The 23-year-old from Barrow got hooked on the slapstick shows as a child and now spends every weekend travelling around the country seeing as many performances as possible.

He packed in 22 shows at a cost of around £2,000.

Joe said: “Aladdin was definitely on a par with professional performances, with strong actors and good scenery. I love pantomimes.” Joe sees his 23rd pantomime this Saturday in Bradford.
