Talented mums have been shortlisted in a competition that allows them to show and sell their creations.
Mums That Make 2014, run by Arteria with gallery 23 on Brock Street in Lancaster, aims to give mums the platform to sell their own goods.
The campaign, now in its third year, is being supported once again by Bath and Body specialists Bath House who have generously donated two amazing pamper hampers for two lucky mums.
Twelve mums have been shortlisted, four of whom live in the local area.
Dianne Mardell from Bare said: “I am a working mother of two and beginning to move from hobbyist to sole trader producing original design handcrafted soaps.
“With help and guidance from my family, I am setting up Bare Village Soaps which are crafted by hand from using a gentle vegetable glycerine base, natural essential oils and fragrance oils blended with mineral and water based colorants.
“My designs, colour schemes and choice of fragrance are heavily influenced by family, friends and the local landscape ranging from subtle and floral to bold and exotic.” The work will be on display from August 4 to 18 in the window and shop floor and then in the gallery from August 19 to October 4.
