A KEEN horsewoman was crushed to death by a hay bale at a farm near Morecambe.

Charlotte Louise Conroy-Taylor, 45, who lived at Brookhouse, was killed when a large hay bale wrapped in black plastic fell on her.

The accident happened at Beaumont Grange Farm, off Bottomdale Road in Slyne-with-Hest on the evening of Tuesday, May 31. The coroner said she died at 8.29pm at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and an inquest date is yet to be set.
