Morecambe supermarket to shut next week
Booths of Torrisholme will shut its doors next Wednesday night and a spokesman said the majority of staff would be redeployed in either the Scotforth or Carnforth stores.
The spokesman said there was no update on the future of the Lancaster Road building.

Hide AdBooths announced last May that it was thinking about selling the Torrisholme mini-supermarket.
Later in the year the company posted a drop in pre-tax profits to £1.3m from £2.9m the year, blaming food deflation and the supermarket price war.
A Booths spokesman said at the time that two of its stores would close but there were plans to open four new stores in England during the course of the year.
The family owned independent supermarket has shops across Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
Booths thanked all its loyal customers for “supporting the store over the years”.
