Morecambe RNLI get cash boost

Volunteer lifeboat crews were presented with a donation of £700 from Morecambe Lodge 1561.

Nick Baxter, the Worshipful Master of Morecambe Lodge 1561, who is also a volunteer Deputy Launching Authority and the Sea Safety Officer for Morecambe RNLI said: “As well as many other local charities, each year the Lodge endeavours to make a donation toward the work of Morecambe lifeboat station.

“This year’s is intended to contribute toward the installation of a CCTV security system at the lifeboat and hovercraft stations.”

RNLI volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the UK.
