Friends and family of a Falklands War hero will pay tribute to him at his favourite pub.
An event marking one year since the death of Ronnie Duffy will be held on April 1 at the Eric Bartholomew Wetherspoon pub.
Ex-paratrooper Ronnie served in the 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment (3 Para) in the Falklands in 1982. He fought in the Battle of Mount Longdon which resulted in British forces capturing a key position around the Argentinian garrison, a key victory which contributed to Argentina’s surrender.
Ronnie was a popular regular at the pub and all his favourite ales will be on sale at the all-day event.
The pub has been collecting for the Parachute Regimental Association throughout the year since Ronnie died and further fundraising will be held on the day.
