A wheelchair bound OAP who went missing in Morecambe on Sunday has been found safe and well.
Police had appealed for information as to the whereabouts of Robert Hands who was last seen at 1pm on December 20 when he left his care home.
Mr Hands was found by police shortly after 1am on December 21 in the Morecambe area and was checked over by ambulance staff.
An appeal had gone out on Facebook to find Mr Hands, who is known to enjoy a drink in some of the pubs in Morecambe.
A spokesman for Lancaster Police said: “Without doubt, our page has been instrumental in bringing our resources and the public together to locate Robert.
“His daughter and care staff are extremely grateful for all the help and care shown. In fact, his daughter is considering a tracking device for her Dad’s Christmas present.”
