For the last few years at this time I whip out my old crystal ball and try and predict the notable albums of the next 12 months.

Madonna has been working on her new record for a while and has been dropping hints on Instagram about some big name producers she has been working with.

Then just before Christmas a bootleg version of her album made its way onto the internet. The Queen of Pop was furious. So she has rush released several tracks from her new album as an early Christmas present to fans including the brilliant new single ‘Living for Love’ which is possibly her best track in a decade.

The remainder of her album ‘Rebel Heart’ will be released in March and if the tracks we have heard so far are representative of the record as a whole, then it’s safe to say Madge is back to her very best.

In the summer, Radiohead member Johnny Greenwood revealed that the band would be starting work on a new record. A 2015 world tour also seems to be on the cards.

Rihanna’s released an album every November since 2009 so when she skipped 2013 fans were left confused. We did expect normal service to be resumed in November 2014 but again no album appeared so something must be on the cards soon.

I expect a refreshed Rihanna will be back with us in the first half of 2015.

Emeli Sande’s debut album was massive. Can she repeat that success with her new one ‘Who Needs The World?’

Fleetwood Mac are back at full strength after Christine McVie re-joined the band after a decade away. Not only are they playing festivals and touring but they are releasing a brand new studio album, their first in yonks.

Bob Dylan also has an album due in 2015 along with rockers Guns’n’Roses and Black Sabbath who are releasing their final record to accompany their tour.

I’m really looking forward to the new Noel Gallagher record entitled ‘Chasing Yesterday.’ It’s his second post Oasis LP.

I’m sure it will be a great year for music.
