Forecasters have issued a weather alert for Lancashire as temperatures are set to plummet this week.
The Met Office this morning said ice was a risk in the county and in Cumbria between midnight and 11am on Tuesday, November 19.
Experts issued a yellow alert and said wintry showers were also likely in some areas.
Snow is forecast over higher ground in parts of England and Scotland.
A Met Office statement read: “The public should be aware of these wintry hazards and the potential for difficult driving conditions.”
